JVS Performing Arts when only the best will do for your child!

Welcome!

JVS Performing Arts is a professional but friendly centre of excellence in Theatre Arts, founded in 1993 by Judith Vardy and based in Nuneaton town centre. 

 We run classes for ages 2 years through to professional level and offer examination classes in Classical Ballet following carefully assessed graded classes with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) from Pre-School through to Grade 8 and Vocational Graded Examinations. It is not essential for a child to take the examinations, but it is a very good way of gauging how your child is progressing, and gives a sense of achievement whilst building on the correct muscle strength. It is also not essential for every child to do ballet, as we do offer a varied curriculum, however ballet is the solid base on which all other dance forms progress and so we highly recommend that at least one ballet class is taken per week.

We also hold weekly Examination classes in Tap, Modern and National with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Speech & Drama, Acting and Musical Theatre examinations with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

As well as the examination classes listed above we also have classes in Acrobatic/Gymnastic Dance, Hip-Hop, Stretch & Conditioning and Private Singing. 
Our pupils take part in nationally recognised dance competitions throughout the year, and every year we produce our Annual Performance at the Civic Hall in Bedworth, as well as participating in many charity productions and local pantomimes.

Facilities

We boast excellent purpose built facilities with two beautiful studios both with fully sprung maple flooring, and wall to wall mirrors and barres. There is a comfortable reception area with snacks and drinks bar, and large airy changing rooms.
